"Hear O' Israel, HaShem is our G-d, HaShem alone"

Numbers 9:12

The missionaries will say that Numbers 9:12 'proves' that the Messiah's bones will not be broken.

The Reply is that Numbers 9:12 is refering to the passover sacrifice. Num 9:11-12 (JPS): "they shall offer it in the second month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight. They shall EAT IT with unleavend bread and bitter herbs, and they shall not leave any of it over until morning. They shall not break a bone of it. They shall offer it in strict accord with the law of the passover sacrifice." Jesus was not sacrificed in "strict accord of the law", he was crucified by the Romans. The law requires that a sacrifice be slaughtered with a knife, not on a cross, and that the blood be drained from the animal. Additionally, the Pescal lamb was to be eaten with "unleavend bread and bitter herbs. No one ate Jesus' body (remember, blood cannot be eaten by Jews) with unleavend bread and bitter herb (thank G-d for prohibiting the eating of humans). So, they didn't break Jesus' bones? The rest of the passage does not apply to him and this is not a messianic prophesy.
